Description

Supco IAQ1040 Fan Cycle Timer

The Fan Cycle Timer accurately cycles HVAC evaporator and furnace fans through low voltage thermostat connections. When there is no call for heating or cooling, the IAQ helps maximize the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) accessories connected to the system.

  • Button selection for FAN ON cycle time in increments of 10, 20, 30 or 40 minutes per hour
  • LEDs indicate when fan is running or in off-cycle
  • Monitors the FAN ON green wire from the thermostat and runs the selected On/Off cycle as long as the thermostat does not call for heat/cool
  • Provides a delay function when AC shuts off to prevent bringing excessive moisture from water condensation on the AC coil into the room

Size: 2.2" x 2.2" x 1"
Current: 5 Amps AC
Voltage: 18 to 30 VAC

I have an Emerson Pepco thermostat which allows my electricity to turn off my AC during peak demand periods. It is programmable but otherwise basic and I had high hopes for this timer to be able to run my HVAC fan on a periodic basis, to help even out the temperature our 3-story townhouse. Unfortunately, after trying 2 of these devices, it appears that it is not compatible with my thermostat. Response from Supco support was simply that, no other offer of assistance. I have a degree in electronics and keep debating adding a 24VAC relay to the mix, but unfortunately recently discarded a bunch of stuff from my junk bin and I don't know if I'm willing to try spending good money after bad. I wouldn't bother with this product unless you have a basic, analog thermostat.
