Harris ZN78CW09420POP Aluxcor® ZN78/22 Zinc-Aluminum Flux-Cored Brazing Alloy Rods, 5 Sticks

Aluxcor® ZN78/22 flux-cored zinc aluminum brazing alloy 0.094 in. x 20 in. x 5-stick tube POP

Aluxcor® 78/22 zinc-aluminum brazing filler metal has a non-corrosive and non-hygroscopic cesium flux core with a lower melting temperature and wider melting range than aluminum-silicon alloys. Its excellent strength and corrosion resistance makes it ideal for joining aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-copper or brass. It is free flowing with unequaled capillary attraction, ductility and penetration. Contains a cesium-fluoroaluminate (CsAlF) type flux in an internal core. The core percentage and dimensions are calculated to deliver optimum flux release and braze joint protection during heating. Post braze residue from this flux is non-corrosive so removal is typically unnecessary. Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive.

  • ZN78 cadmium-free zinc-aluminum flux-cored brazing alloy
  • Core design releases the flux only after sufficient preheating, so both the flux and alloy flows at the right time into the capillary
  • Lower melting temperature and wider melting range than aluminum silicon alloys
  • Strict flux percentage tolerance ensures that the flux is consistent throughout the wire for repeatable high performance flow of the alloy
  • Has a non-corrosive and non-hygroscopic cesium flux with no flux binder
  • A good choice for joining aluminum alloys of the 1000, 3000 and 6000 series
  • Used to join aluminum-to-copper
  • Recommended joint clearance of 0.003 in. - 0.005 in. (0.08 mm - 0.13 mm)
  • Proprietary custom flux blends available for customer specific applications
  • Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive
